At NPCRS, we treat privacy as an essential part of our commitment to ethics in clinical research. All personal information collected from volunteers, professionals and partners is used exclusively for purposes related to studies and always in compliance with the General Data Protection Law (LGPD). Our priority is to ensure that each participant has safety, clarity and confidence in the treatment of their data.

Introduction

At NPCRS, privacy protection and responsible treatment of personal data are fundamental commitments. We operate in compliance with the General Data Protection Law (LGPD – Law No. 13.709/2018) and with ethical principles applicable to clinical research, ensuring safety, transparency and respect for the rights of each participant.


Personal data collection

During the screening, enrollment and follow-up processes in clinical studies, data such as the following may be collected:

  • Identification information (name, age, contacts);
  • Health data necessary to assess eligibility in studies;
  • Participation records, when applicable.

All data is limited to the minimum necessary and used exclusively for purposes related to clinical research conducted by NPCRS.


Purpose and use

Data is processed to:

  • Assess inclusion/exclusion criteria in clinical studies;
  • Ensure secure communication between research team and volunteers;
  • Comply with regulatory and legal requirements applicable to clinical research.

We do not engage in commercial use, improper sharing or sale of personal information.


Storage and security

We adopt technical and administrative measures to protect data against unauthorized access, alterations or losses, including:

  • Systems with restricted access;
  • Continuous infrastructure monitoring;
  • Backup procedures and regular security updates.

Data subject rights

In accordance with LGPD, each participant has the right to:

  • Confirm the existence of processing of their data;
  • Request access, correction or update of information;
  • Request anonymization, blocking or deletion of excessive data;
  • Revoke consent at any time, without prejudice to participation already completed.
