Excellence in clinical research with focus on care and innovation in health

The Research Center of Rio Grande do Sul (NPCRS) is a center specialized in outpatient care and clinical research development.

Located at Rua Mostardeiro, nº 5, unit 310 – Moinhos de Vento neighborhood, Porto Alegre/RS, the center has a total area of 700 m², specifically designed for conducting clinical studies and patient care.

The entire structure is electronically monitored, with restricted access, internet and telephone system, as well as safety equipment, including fire protection system.

Infrastructure

NPCRS has a complete structure, designed to ensure quality, comfort and safety in all stages of clinical studies:

  • Spacious waiting room and office.

  • Four consulting rooms equipped with scales, anthropometric scales, thermometers and sphygmomanometers certified by INMETRO.

  • Collection room and biological material processing, equipped for shipment preparation and with two exclusive bathrooms for patients and collection.

  • Procedure room (ECG, EEG and others) with dedicated equipment.

  • Pharmacy with restricted access, with strict temperature control (+2 °C to +8 °C), freezers (-20 °C), uninterruptible power supply, continuous recording and remote monitoring of temperature and humidity.

  • Individual locked cabinets for medication storage at room temperature.

  • Monitoring room, prepared to accommodate up to 6 monitors simultaneously.

  • Pantry for the center’s team.

  • Patient support area, for rest, questionnaire completion and training.

  • Support area for coordinators, with archives and material storage.

  • Medication infusion area, under medical supervision.

  • Emergency crash cart, equipped for immediate medical care.

  • Meeting room for up to 10 people, equipped with audio and video conference equipment.

  • Common use meeting room in the building, available by appointment, used for professional team training and patient group meetings.

Profissional Team

The NPCRS team consists of physician investigators, research coordinators, collection team, receptionists and administration.

The investigators have proven experience in clinical research since 2002, working in different medical specialties and with a history of participation in national and international studies.

In addition to its own team, the center maintains partnerships with clinical pathology laboratories, imaging services and other physicians, ensuring complete support for study development.
